It seems every song I hear has some memories attached to it.
We did not have cable TV till both me and my sister passed our SSC. So after my SSC exams we were two happy souls to have the new big TV set and the cable TV at our service. The cable guy aired all the new movies at 2’o clock in the afternoon. Both of my parents are working , so it was just the two of us at home all day long.
I was as usual browsing through the channels and found that the cable guy was showing a Kajol starring movie, it was Dushman. It was the story of two sisters, we both were glued to the TV set. We looked at each other only when the song “Chitthi na Koi Sandes ” started we found ourselves crying like never before. I did not understand why were we crying, but I held my sister really close to me and I so knew at that moment how precious she was to me.
“Chitthi na koi sandes ..
Jane woh kaunsa des jahan tum chale gaye..
Is dil ko lagakar thes
Jane woh kaunsa des jahan tum chale gaye”
The best part of the song is ..
“Ek aah bhari hogi
Humne na suni hogi
Jate jate tumne awaj to di hogi
Har waqt yahi hai gum
Us waqt kahan the hum, kahna tum chale gaye…..”
